I am a big fan of books by Elizabeth Goddard. This is the second in her Missing in Alaska series. You do not have to have read the first to read and enjoy this one. The two main characters are Carrie James and Detective Trevor West. Carrie is an Alaskan bush pilot who has a dramatic past. Trevor has come to Alaska in order to find his missing sister and seeks Carrie out to help him. This novel starts out with a prologue that gives a little taste of Carrie’s tragic past. Then the first chapter starts ten years after that so I found it intriguing as to what her past would mean to her present. There is an intriguing puzzle that plays out in the novel and you will find yourself trying to put the pieces together throughout the whole book. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and highly recommend it.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. The opinions in this review are my own.
