Review of “Mountain Abduction Rescue” by Darlene L. Turner

I am a big fan of books by Darlene L. Turner. She has a way of bringing life to her characters that makes them really jump off the page. Hazel and Mitchell have known each other for awhile. They have not seen each other for years but now circumstances have brought them back together. This novel has so many good themes to it. It has forgiveness, return to faith in God, second chance at love, and family reunited. It is action packed from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.

Review of “Dangerous Desert Abduction” by Kellie VanHorn

This is the second book I have read by Kellie VanHorn. The suspense in this novel starts right away. The main female character, Abigail Fox, was unbeknownst to her betrayed by her husband before he died. She and her son are being chased down for files that her husband made that would out the mob. Thankfully she has help from a park ranger named Micah Ellis. The author does a good job of writing the interactions and budding relationship between these two characters. The novel is also made more interesting because you are trying to figure out who is working behind the scenes with the mob to locate them. I definitely recommend this book because it is entertaining and will keep you on your toes.

Review of “With Every Memory” by Janine Rosche

This book deals with some difficult topics and the author puts a trigger warning note in the front. The trigger warnings listed are death of a child, sexual assault, adultery, and divorce. I also think emotional abuse could be listed. This book is so well written that I felt the emotions jump off the pages as I was reading it. The story is told from the perspective of two of the characters. One of the characters is the mom named Lori and the other is the daughter named Avery. Avery is a high school student so her perspective is very different from the perspective of her mom. The author did a good job of writing their perspectives so that they sounded like not only two different people but so you would realize that they are two different ages. This novel is a great representation of how life is not always easy or perfect, but messy and unpredictable. It also shows that you can persevere though difficult times. I definitely recommend it!
