This is the first book I have read by Kit Morgan. It is a time travel novel set at Christmas in Clear Creek, Oregon. I have not read many time travel novels but I do find them fun to read. One thing I thought was so funny in a good way about this book was that one of the characters is named Kitty Morgan. She is also an author in the book. It was fun reading how the main female character, Lorelei Carson, adapted to the past when she was transported there by a couple she had just met. I really enjoyed the family that she was left with in the past. They were all so entertaining. I would definitely recommend this book.
Review of “Meddling with Mistletoe” by Liz Johnson
I have only read one other book by this author so she is a relatively new author to me. I am a big fan of Christmas books so I was excited to read this book. The characters in this book are really well written. This novel centered mainly around Daniel Franklin and Whitney Garrett. However, it also seemed to me that Daniel’s aunt, Aretha, played a major role in the book as well. There were several entertaining parts of this story. One of my favorite parts of this novel were the interactions between Daniel Franklin and Julia Mae. Another favorite part of mine was the scene with the turkey hat. I also really enjoyed all the spreadsheet talk that Daniel did because I love excel as an accountant. Overall, I would say this book was very enjoyable. I also felt that it was very original. I have not read a book with a similar concept before.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. The opinions in this review are my own.
Review of “You’re the Reason” by Tari Faris
This is the first book in the Home to Heritage series by Tari Faris. It has some of the same characters as her Restoring Heritage series so if you have read that series then you will meet some familiar faces. And one of my favorite parts of the previous series is back in this one too. Otis the moving hippo statue.
This novel has all of the elements that make a story great. I literally feel like I am there in Heritage, Michigan as I am reading. I see myself as one of the friends to the people in the novel and find myself wanting to help them fight their battles. If you love a sweet romance that will pull you into the book, then you will definitely want to pick this novel up. I cannot wait to read the next one.
