Review of “Pursued on the Run” by Terri Reed

I am a big fan of this author and I have read several of her books. This novel starts out with the main male character, Sean Donovan, getting off the bus after having been released from prison. Not long after he gets off the bus, he is jumped and put into a van. This novel started with the suspense as well as mystery from the very beginning. There were so many good secondary characters in this novel. I will say that I thought this was one mystery that I actually was able to figure out from the very beginning but I was so wrong. It had a lot of twists and turns. It kept my attention until the very end. I highly recommend it.

I received a complimentary copy from the author. The opinions in this review are my own.

Review of “The Coach’s Secret Child” by Lee Tobin McClain

I really like books by this author. This is the first book in the Tumbleweed, Texas series. The two main characters are Mike Cook and Kayla Stewart. I found it interesting that the characters who had a past relationship met back up because Mike started teaching where Kayla was already teaching. That was an original twist to me because I have not read another story where that was the case. This novel had a great lesson in forgiveness of others as well as yourself. It also was a great book to teach people that you are not always like your parents and you can overcome difficult life circumstances. I definitely recommend this book.

Review of “Raging Waters” by Dana Mentink

This is one of my go-to suspense authors. This is the second book in the Elements of Danger series. You do not have to have read the first to read and to enjoy this one. The chapters in this book are a little long but since the book kept my attention it still read pretty quick. The action and intrigue started at the very beginning and went to the very end. There were so many twists and turns in this book. I really enjoyed reading it and had a hard time putting it down. I highly recommend it.

Review of “Tangled Past” by Mary Alford

This is the first book in the “Hope Island Securities” series that I have read but it is number seven in the series. You do not have to have read the others to read and enjoy this one. The author did such a great job of describing what was going on and the scene that I almost felt like I was there. I also found it interesting the way she writes about the bad guy throughout the book before you learn who he is. This novel had a lot of twists and turns. I did not figure out the bad guy at all. I definitely recommend this book.

Review of “Every Deadly Suspicion” by Janice Cantore

I really enjoy books by this author. She is one of my go-to suspense authors. This novel is not only suspenseful but it has huge mysteries/crimes for the reader to try to solve along with the characters. There is some romance involved in the storyline but it in no way takes center stage over the suspense. About halfway through the book, I thought I had the bad guy figured out. It turned out I was only about half correct. This novel had twists and turns. I would definitely recommend it.
