This is the first book I have read by this author. It is a regency novel which is not my main genre that I read but I have found some of them to be very good. I found this novel to be really good because of the mystery that Cassandra Hale finds herself to be in regarding her family. Also, there are several interesting characters in this novel that just draw you into the story. I found myself wanting to stand up to the mother-in-law of the story because of all the drama she stirred up. The vicar was a well written character with a side of himself he tries to hide. I would totally recommend this book to anyone.
