Review of “Sunburst” by Susan May Warren

The novel starts out setting up the connection between the two main characters, Ranger Kingston and Noemi Sutton. Once the reader is told how the two met, a little bit of action unfolds. However, this book is definitely more romance and not as much suspenseful action which makes sense because it is in the contemporary romance category. Though I will say that the blurb on the back had me hoping for more scenes with intensity. You really have to pay attention when reading the book because right in the middle of some of the chapters it will go back and forth between current time and when the main characters met. There are some interesting surprises as well as a very unique marriage of convenience like situation. Also there is a secondary story that seemed somewhat out of place at first but then slowly made more sense. Overall, I really enjoyed this book though and would recommend it.

Review of “The View from Coral Cove” by Amy Clipston

I was drawn to this book for two reasons besides the blurb on the back. One the cover is absolutely beautiful and the other reason is that it is set in North Carolina. Now even if those two things do not draw you in then just read the blurb on the back and it will definitely have you wanting to read this book. This novel has all the elements one would want in a second chance romance. It has two people who have been previously burned by love and think they are done with it. But maybe they are not as done as they think. This book also has a really good side story that falls perfectly in line with the main burned out on love plot. I had a hard time not sitting and reading this all at once. I definitely recommend it.
