Review of “The Land Beneath Us” by Sarah Sundin

I hate to say this is my first book by Sarah Sundin because she has several other books out already including the two that are in the same series as this one. “The Land Beneath Us” is the third one in the Sunrise at Normandy series. I was really excited to read this book because I knew it was based during World War II. I am fan of reading books set during this war because I find them so interesting. The beginning of this book is set at a military base in the United States as opposed to over in Europe where the war took place. There are two main characters. They are Leah and Clay. Clay has a recurring dream which he believes is a vision of his future. He has told his parents about it but they think he has lost it. Even if the author hadn’t mentioned this situation being similar to Joseph from the Bible, I still would have compared the two. Leah is sadly an orphan who comes to the base to work at the library and that’s where she first meets Clay. Both of these people have gone through so much in their lives. You find yourself almost praying for these fictional characters as if they were real. The author did such a good job bringing their stories to life and so well bringing these two together. Clay and Leah become husband and wife for reasons other than being in love, but will they come to love each other in-spite of how they got together? Will Clay’s dream of dying come true? Clay wants his dream to come true at first, but will he fall for Leah and change his mind? So many questions and only one way to find them out. You won’t regret reading this book

Review of “The Way of the Brave” by Susan May Warren

I am a big fan of Susan May Warren so I was really excited to read this book. This is the first in a new series called “Global Search and Rescue”. I was not disappointed with the characters or the plot. This book definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. You find yourself rooting for all of the characters in the story. Even though I’ve never been in the same situation these guys and girls find themselves in, I imagine what I would feel like if I was and it is terrifying to think about. However, I did feel as though I needed a lot more knowledge of climbing. It would have helped me understand what was happening in parts of the story better especially at the beginning. I am definitely looking forward to the next one in the series.

Review of Lynette Eason’s “Collateral Damage”

Fans of Lynette Eason are in for a real treat when reading her new book “Collateral Damage.” If you have never read her books but enjoy a fast paced mystery, you will definitely enjoy this book. It is the first one in a new series. Fasten your seatbelt as you go on a roller coaster ride with Asher and Brooke.
At first the characters you meet seem disconnected, but the more you read, the more the plot unfolds and you start to make connections. You may wonder who can be trusted. Was someone you thought to be trustworthy really a traitor? Can greed lead a person to sell his/her soul? Just when you think you have it all figured out, something happens and you find a need to rethink things.
This book is a real page turner! I cannot wait for the second book in this series!!

Review of “Always Look Twice” by Elizabeth Goddard

“Always Look Twice” by Elizabeth Goddard is an excellent Christian fiction novel that will appeal to the reader who enjoys mystery with a touch of romance. Many people would agree that facing one’s past can be a challenge and something they are not overly eager to do. The main characters in the book, Heath and Harper, are doing just that. They struggle with their past, and throughout the book, their decisions are heavily influenced by their past experiences. They are both carrying a sense of guilt and feel they do not deserve happiness. This book is one that will hold the reader’s attention from beginning to end!
