Review of “Never Pursue a Prince” by Regina Scott

This is the first book in the “Fortune’s Brides: The Wedding Vow” series. It is a regency novel set in 1825. Lady Larissa is a no nonsense type of lady to whom has no problem calling Leo when she thinks he has been less than upfront with her because unbeknownst to her he is a twin. Prince Leo of Batavaria adds a great twist to this story by exchanging places with his twin brother, the captain of the Batavarian Imperial Guard. This book was such an interesting read. I kept wondering when Lady Larissa would find out about the switch and how she would react to that revelation. I also wondered who was really after Leo and his family. I love that Larissa is not impressed by pomp and circumstance and Leo is down to earth. It is so nice to see them interact while she is unaware of Leo’s true identity as prince. If you like Regency novels and sweet romance, then this book is for you.
