Review of Lynette Eason’s “Vow of Justice”

I enjoy mystery books, and Lynette Eason has become one of my favorite authors. “Vow of Justice,” the fourth book in the Blue Justice series, by Lynette Eason is filled with suspense and will keep you on the edge of your seat from the beginning to the very last page. I found it hard to put it down! Even though this book is the fourth in the series, it didn’t seem like you missed out much by reading it out of order. For those of you familiar with Lynette Eason, you will not be disappointed with this book, and for those of you who like suspense but are unfamiliar with Lynette Eason, you are in for a real treat! She is definitely on the top of my go to author list.

Review of Caleb Breakey’s book “The String”

I had never heard of Caleb Breakey before coming across his book “The String”. At the beginning, I was somewhat confused. As the story unfolded, I was intrigued by the complexity of the plot. Just when you thought you had the mystery solved, something unforeseen happened. Although I thought it was well written, some of the violence was a little too graphic for me personally. This book definitely challenges the reader when it comes to fitting all the pieces together.

Review of “Light from Distant Stars” by Shawn Smucker

This was my very first book by this author so I wasn’t sure what to except.   I will say that this book kind of reminds me of James L. Rubart because it seems to have a supernatural element to it.  This supernatural element to me is never fully explained in regards to its purpose to the overall story.  Also, the author goes back and forth between past and present.  When he does this, I don’t always feel like it’s completely obvious right at first which you are reading about.  However given all of that I think I would still read more books by this author or at least one more before I decide that I just am not into his books.

Review of “Truly Yours, Thomas” by Rachel Fordham

Disclaimer: I received a free copy from Revell in order to post an honest review.

This is my first book by this author and I would have to say she did not disappoint me in the least. I was drawn into the book from the very beginning. I felt like the characters were my friends. I was truly invested in their stories. The main character, Penny, was such a loving person that you could not help but want everything to work out for her. I will not spoil the ending for anyone because that would not be nice. But I would think even if I knew the ending I’m advance of reading the book I would still have enjoyed reading it. It is a great book of second chances.

Book Review of “The Long Journey to Jake Palmer” by James L Rubart

I have to say that I am pretty sure I have read every single on of James L. Rubart’s books that he has put out so far.  The only one I hadn’t read until now was “The Long Journey to Jake Palmer”.  I am also most done with it now.  I have less than 100 pages left to read and I am not disappointed in the least.  All of James L. Rubart’s books have been great reads.  The grasp my attention quickly, keep my attention the whole book, and are hard to put down.  If I had the time, then I could sit and read one of his books straight through.  I highly recommend his books to anyone.
