Review of “Their Texas Christmas Redemption” by Mindy Obenhaus
This is the second book in the Legacy Ranch series. One of my favorite characters in this novel is a secondary character named Aunt Dee, who was also in the first book. I really enjoyed her interactions with Tyler. I enjoyed her no-nonsense attitude as well as her compassion for others. The interactions between Willow and Tyler, Willow and Audrey, and also Tyler and Audrey were also so sweet to read. I had a hard time putting this book down and not reading it in one sitting. It was such an inspirational and heartwarming novel. I definitely recommend it.

Review of “Texas Christmas Cover-Up” by Terri Reed
I have read several books by this author and enjoyed them all. I was super excited to read this especially since it is a Christmas book. One of my favorite characters in this novel is Emily. I just thought it was so cute when her mom told her that once she took Jeremy’s hand someone would say grace because then she took his hand and said “grace”. She did not realize her mom meant they would pray for the food. I also really enjoyed Jeremy’s sister, Julia. This book involved a cold case which was mixed in with several current cases and made for an incredibly interesting puzzle to figure out. This plot kept my attention from the very beginning until the very end. It was never boring but on the contrary was action packed. I did have an idea of who did it before I was told though at times I debated on whether more people were involved than it turned out to be. Anyone who likes a good murder mystery will enjoy this book.

Review of “Canyon of Deceit” by Diann Mills
I have read several books by this author and I have enjoyed them all so that was the reason I wanted to read this one. This book had short chapters which I really appreciated. It was written in first person from the perspectives of Therese Palmer, Blane Gardner, and Alina Ivanov. You are told which perspective you are reading at the top of the chapters unless the next chapter is from the same perspective. Also some of the chapters are split between more than one perspective but it tells you which one you are reading. It can make things a little harder to follow but I did not think it was too bad. The plot was quite a puzzle and it was interesting trying to determine if Rurik Ivanov, the dad of Alina, was a bad guy or not. This was a well-written suspense with some romance mixed in. It also had a really good secondary character named Sergio Montoya. The friendship between Sergio and Blane was also a really great addition to the book. I would definitely recommend this novel.

Review of “The Rules of Falling for You” by Mollie Rushmeyer
This is only the second book I have read by this author so I would still consider her a new author to me. I really liked the other book I read by her so that plus the cover drew me into wanting to read this one. I am not a big regency reader but that did not make the book any less appealing. The book is written from both the perspective of Zoe and Harrison. Even though the top of the chapter tells you which character that particular chapter is seen through, it did take me a bit to get my bearings each time it switched between the two characters especially since it is not always every other chapter. One chapter switched perspectives in the middle. I definitely think there needs to be a sequel with Jake and Eden being the main characters.
