Review of “The Blackout Book Club” by Amy Lynn Green

This is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be my last.  It is a World War II book which I am a big fan of reading.  It is set in the United States instead of Europe.  It is split time for one character only and also has multiple narrators.  Amy Lynn Green does an amazing job of bringing out the genuine nature of her characters.  Each one had something that drew me into their particular life story.  I would definitely recommend this book.

Review of “These Tangled Threads” by Sarah Loudin Thomas

I only had previously read one novella by this author but because this book was set in North Carolina at Biltmore Estates I just had to read it. This novel was set during the time of Cornelia Vanderbilt. Part of the plot occurred in Biltmore Village as well as a few other places. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It held so much human emotion within the pages. You will find an amazing story of forgiveness of others and self. It is also a story of second chances. You will not regret getting this book to read.

Review of “Yukon Wilderness Evidence” by Darlene L. Turner

I am a fan of books by this author and this book does not disappoint. The suspense starts within the first chapter. The puzzle of who the criminals are in this book was definitely a hard one for me to crack which made the book more interesting. I never correctly guessed the culprits before it was told to me. It had some really good twists and turns in this novel. I would recommend to anymore.

Review of “The Elusive Truth of Lily Temple” by Joanna Davidson Politano

I have read several books by this author and they all have an enchantment to them. This book also has that enchanting feel. It is also very intriguing and well woven together. I would say it is a story with a great deal of tragic realism. This book is very different from any other books that I have read, but it is so good. Lily Temple is hiding something and I found myself trying to figure it out the entire time. And I found the ability of Peter Driscoll to read people fascinating. These two characters work well together. I would recommend this novel to anyone who likes unique novels which are not your typical happy go lucky story.

Review of “Treacherous Escape” by Kellie VanHorn

This book starts out with the suspense from the very first chapter. The author does an excellent job of adding twists into the story to make it more intriguing than just a who done it kind of story. The two main characters have more in common than they initially thought which also adds a little something to the novel. I definitely recommend this book.
