Review of “The Pastor’s Hope” by Meghann Whistler

I have read several books by this author and I have liked them all so far which is why I was interested to read this one. You will recognize some of the secondary characters in the novel if you have read some of the author’s other books. The main characters in this novel are Nate Anderson and Amanda Kobayashi. Both of them have lost their spouse before the novel starts and I think it adds an interesting element to how they interact which I really enjoyed. Another thing that I really enjoyed about this story was Amanda’s daughter, Ivy, because she was just so cute. I really liked how the author wrote the way Ivy talked because you could definitely tell she was a little girl. This book was so good. I highly recommend it.

Review of ” His Secret Alaskan Family” by Belle Calhoune

I really enjoy books by this author. She always does such a great job of bringing out the human side of her characters and dealing with difficult situations with grace. This book is no different in that regard. I have read other books that have a character that is in WITSEC but this one takes it from a new angle I have not seen before which I really appreciated. This novel also has such great secondary characters which makes this novel so much more enjoyable. I think you can tell a lot about how good a book will be by the secondary characters in it. This author does such an awesome job with the details. I definitely recommend this book.

Review of “Deadly Revenge” by Patricia Bradley

Deadly Revenge by Patricia Bradley is a must read if you are a fan of suspense. She has done a great job developing her main characters, Jenna Hart and Maxwell Anderson. Jenna is out to solve what turns into a most complex plot. Jenna is also the target of one who is seeking revenge. When Jenna encounters her former boss, they work together to try to put all the pieces together. Bradley writes in such a way that the reader becomes attached to the characters. Needless to say, this book is a real page turner.

Review of “Rediscovering Christmas” by Mindy Obenhaus

I absolutely love books by this author and she is on my must read list. I have to say I would have wanted to read this even if it was a new author just by the look of the cover. It is so pretty and eye catching. This is book six in the Hope Crossing series though you do not have to have read the others to fully enjoy this one. They also do not have to be read in order. This book is a great example of someone who has been through a lot in life and is struggling with their faith but whose faith is renewed in the end. It is also the epitome of Christmas and will get you in the spirit. All of the characters in this book are amazing. It is such a well written novel that it was hard to put down.

Review of “Tea with Elephants” by Robin Jones Gunn

I have read several books by Robin Jones Gunn and really enjoyed them which is why I was interested in this novel. I could really relate to Fern in this book because I also met my future husband and got married to him in my thirties. I really loved how she wrote prayers in journals and I may start doing that as well. This novel is one of those stories where even the secondary characters are my favorite. I cannot pick a favorite part of this book because I loved it all. I really loved that the book did not end when the trip to Africa ended but continued for a little bit so you could find out what more happened with Fern and Lily’s personal dilemmas. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone especially those who are not big into romance novels.
