This is the first book in the Home to Heritage series by Tari Faris. It has some of the same characters as her Restoring Heritage series so if you have read that series then you will meet some familiar faces. And one of my favorite parts of the previous series is back in this one too. Otis the moving hippo statue.

This novel has all of the elements that make a story great. I literally feel like I am there in Heritage, Michigan as I am reading. I see myself as one of the friends to the people in the novel and find myself wanting to help them fight their battles. If you love a sweet romance that will pull you into the book, then you will definitely want to pick this novel up. I cannot wait to read the next one.

I love books by Laurel Blount especially this series. The series is set in Cedar Ridge, Georgia and one of the main characters of each book is from the foster family of Ruby Sawyer. This book revolves around Nick Marshall and a girl, Cara Andrews, who views him as her old high school enemy. His foster mother, Ruby Sawyer, and his foster siblings make appearances in this book as secondary characters. This is one of those stories where I can feel the heart behind it. This book had me drawn in from the very beginning. I just did not want to put it down. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoy books by Shannon Redmon. She does a great job of keeping the novel moving and not having any part that reads slow. This book includes the whole ex-boyfriend did not know he had a child scenario. I got so excited when I realized this book is set in North Carolina. I definitely did not have the whodunnit all figured out at first though I had suspicions. The author did a really good job weaving this novel together. There were themes of forgiveness, second chances, and family throughout the story. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

I really like the historical novels that Rachel Fordham writes. This novel is set around Otis Taylor and Sadie West. Both have had hard experiences though they are very different. The interactions between these two characters are so genuine and intriguing. I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow throughout the book. The secondary characters in this book were also well written. This novel brought on all the emotions. It was so good. I highly recommend it.

I really like books by Heidi Main. She has a way of bringing her characters to life just like she did in this book. There were a lot of really good enlightenments in this plot. One thing I thought was a really good truth is that you should not isolate yourself from others. Also this book shows just how important good communication is to a relationship. I would definitely recommend this book.
