“The Trouble with Love” by Toni Shiloh is the first of three books in her “Faith and Fortune” series. This book does a great job of helping people to realize that we are all in need of Jesus even those who think they have so much due to riches and fame. Toni does an excellent job of bringing her characters and their world to life. You will find yourself rooting for everyone in this book. And I will also say that this book definitely leaves you wanting to read the next one in the series.
Review of “The Key to Love” by Betsy St. Amant
This is my first book by Betsy St. Amant and I was hooked after just the first chapter. Don’t worry I am not going to give away a lot about the book because then you would not be able to experience the joy of reading it in the same way but I will just say that one thing that Betsy mentions in that first chapter reminded me of a movie called The Princess Diaries. Also, there is one part of the story that I can definitely say tells me if you loved Courtney Walsh’s Paper Hearts book then you will love this one too. Betsy does such an amazing job of describing things that I can picture myself sitting right there inside Pastry Puff and drinking a cup of coffee while eating a really great macaroon! Even if for some reason you are not drawn in just by looking at the gorgeous cover of this book I still ask that if you like romance books with a little bit of comedy thrown in that you give this book a chance. I just don’t believe you’ll regret it if you do.
Disclaimer: I received a free copy of the book in order to give an honest review.
Review of “The Secrets of Paper and Ink” by Lindsay Harrel
This is my second book by Lindsay Harrel and I have to say that I was not disappointed in the least when I read this. Lindsay has this way of writing her characters to where if I didn’t think about the fact that the book was fiction you would almost think it really happened. She does such a great job of showing the journey towards healing from loss and tragic circumstances. I definitely recommend this book.
Review of “Alaskan Christmas Redemption” by Belle Calhoune
This is the second book I have read by Belle Calhoune and the third in the Owl Creek series. I have to say that Belle does such an excellent job of bringing her characters to life. Her books are so good! They definitely invoke your emotions and make you feel like you’re right there with her characters. I will definitely be adding Belle Calhoune to my go-to authors.
Review of “Live in Love: Growing Together in Life’s Changes” by Lauren Akins with Mark Dagostino
“Live in Love” is the story of Lauren Akins during her youth and then Lauren Akins and Thomas Rhett. This book was a fast read for me. The way it is written reads like you are reading Lauren Akin’s journal. It is very personable and refreshing. Throughout the book, she is very honest about things and just tells it like it is. In these times, it is so nice to know there are good honest people out there especially ones who love the Lord and want to do what they feel is His work for them. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an inspirational story.
