Review of “Sense and Suitability” by Pepper Basham

I am not a big regency fan but because this was written by Pepper Basham I really wanted to read it. The main characters, Emmeline and Simon, had some really interesting interactions throughout the book. Their banter back and forth made for some of the best parts of the novel. I also thoroughly enjoyed the antics of Simon’s sisters, Lottie and Fia. Though it took me a little longer to really get into this story, once I did get more grabbed by it, I had a hard time wanting to put it down. I found so much love and grace in this novel. I highly recommend it.

Review of “Her Pretend Holiday Beau” by Susanne Dietz

I have read several books by this author and I have loved them all so I have her on my go-to author list. I am also a big fan of Christmas books. This book has so many different family dynamics. It also includes a live nativity which I love reading about. It takes place on a family farm which I love. It made me want to go to one. Another event in the book I really wanted to attend was the event they had for the employees of the farm. The food sounded so good that it made me hungry and the fire pit sounded cozy on a cold night. And the story had the cutest sounding mini horse in it. I loved this book so much and definitely recommend it.

Review of “Christmas Rodeo Killer” by Sami A. Abrams

I have read several books by this author and I have enjoyed all of them. This one revolves around a rodeo. The main characters are Cooper and Grace. They have not seen each other for a while but now they are both working towards catching the bad guy and they both have a secret from each other. Between their secrets and the mystery of who the bad guy is, this book kept my attention throughout the entire story. I did not figure who the bad guy was until they told me. I definitely recommend this novel!

Review of “Their Texas Christmas Redemption” by Mindy Obenhaus

This is the second book in the Legacy Ranch series. One of my favorite characters in this novel is a secondary character named Aunt Dee, who was also in the first book. I really enjoyed her interactions with Tyler. I enjoyed her no-nonsense attitude as well as her compassion for others. The interactions between Willow and Tyler, Willow and Audrey, and also Tyler and Audrey were also so sweet to read. I had a hard time putting this book down and not reading it in one sitting. It was such an inspirational and heartwarming novel. I definitely recommend it.

Review of “Texas Christmas Cover-Up” by Terri Reed

I have read several books by this author and enjoyed them all. I was super excited to read this especially since it is a Christmas book. One of my favorite characters in this novel is Emily. I just thought it was so cute when her mom told her that once she took Jeremy’s hand someone would say grace because then she took his hand and said “grace”. She did not realize her mom meant they would pray for the food. I also really enjoyed Jeremy’s sister, Julia. This book involved a cold case which was mixed in with several current cases and made for an incredibly interesting puzzle to figure out. This plot kept my attention from the very beginning until the very end. It was never boring but on the contrary was action packed. I did have an idea of who did it before I was told though at times I debated on whether more people were involved than it turned out to be. Anyone who likes a good murder mystery will enjoy this book.
