This is only the second book I have read by this author so I would still consider her a new author to me. I really liked the other book I read by her so that plus the cover drew me into wanting to read this one. I am not a big regency reader but that did not make the book any less appealing. The book is written from both the perspective of Zoe and Harrison. Even though the top of the chapter tells you which character that particular chapter is seen through, it did take me a bit to get my bearings each time it switched between the two characters especially since it is not always every other chapter. One chapter switched perspectives in the middle. I definitely think there needs to be a sequel with Jake and Eden being the main characters.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I really like that this novel includes both horses and dogs. This book was so engaging and well-written. I was so drawn into the growing relationship between Ace and Jolene. I found the back story for Jolene to be extremely unique and interesting. Ace and Bear, the dog that needs help, are so similar in the issues that I was not surprised Ace became attached to him. I really enjoyed reading about their bonding. There are so many good life lessons in this book. It also deals with survivor guilt. This novel had so many great secondary characters that would be good to read their stories in future books. I highly recommend this book.

I have read several books by this author and have enjoyed them all. The suspense starts right from the very beginning and continues until the very end. This novel had so many twists and turns. I really enjoyed the interactions between Chase and his family. The K-9s added a lot to the plot as well. This novel was well-written and the mystery behind the crime was so good. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants an edge of your seat suspense novel with a little bit of romance sprinkled in.

This author is on my list of go-to contemporary fiction authors. It is interesting that while majority of this novel is written in third person, every once and awhile there is a chapter written in first person from the point of view of Sam. Her books usually have some kind of life lesson you can take away from it. I like how Anita Wilson prayed for her guests that came to stay at the Come Around Ranch before they arrived. All the characters in this book are so well-written and interesting that I find this novel hard to put down. I was a little disappointed by the ending. I really wanted to know more of what happened to several of the characters. This is one of those books where an epilogue would have been good. It could have been for years later and told a little bit of the future for each person. But even with the disappointing ending, I would still highly recommend this book.

This is one of my go-to authors. I really find her books enjoyable. Jeremiah Weaver has an issue that he initially does not want Anna Speicher to know about when he goes to offer to rent her farm. I felt so bad for him when it came to this issue because you could tell that he was embarrassed by it. I thought that this story had such compassion written into it. I loved reading the journey of the relationship between Anna and Jeremiah. It was such a sweet enduring story. I definitely recommend this novel.
