Review of “Forever Amish” by Kate Lloyd

This is my first Amish book I have read by Kate Lloyd though I have Amish books by other authors. In this novel, an Englischer named Sally goes to meet an Amish woman named Lizzie who has been emailing her about getting a dog and about having a dilemma. However, there is more to this story than meets the eye and the dilemma that Lizzie mentioned might just be more than Sally can handle. I would definitely recommend this book.

Review of “Along a Storied Trail” by Ann H. Gabhart

Along a Storied Trail is the first book I have read by Ann H. Gabhart even though she has written quite a few. The author does an excellent job with character development. There are characters who are born and bred in Kentucky, and then there’s Damien Felding who comes from New York City to learn all he can from the mountain people. There are those characters who the reader grows to love and those you definitely dislike. Tansy Calhoun is one of the main characters and one of several strong willed women who work as a packhorse librarian who shares her love of books with others. Can you imagine riding through the mountains of Kentucky going from one house to another carrying a satchel of books on a regular basis no matter the weather conditions? This book was hard to put down. It is definitely a book worth reading especially for those who share a love for reading!
