Review of “A Lancaster Family Christmas” by Kate Lloyd

This is an Amish novel set at Christmas in Lancaster County. The interesting thing to me about this book is that several of the characters have secrets that they are keeping which is why it is not your typical Christmas book. Though it is not your typical Christmas book, it is still so good! It is also interesting to see the difference between the lifestyle of a city girl and an Amish community. I am really intrigued reading how Diana, the city girl, feels about the Amish lifestyle that is so different from her own. I would recommend this book to anyone even if you are not a big Amish fan.

Review of “Labyrinth of Lies” by Irene Hannon

I really like books by Irene Hannon so I already knew I would like this book. However, I did not realize just how much I would like this book until I started reading it. It is definitely like trying to solve a very intricate puzzle. Some of the players in the puzzle go by nicknames which adds another layer of mystery to the whole plot. Without giving anything away, I will say I was shocked when I finally found out the people behind the nicknames. This book kept me at the edge of my seat from the very beginning and was really hard to put down. I could not recommend this book enough to anyone who likes puzzles and suspense.
