Review of “To Treasure an Heiress” by Roseanna M. White

This is the second book in “The Secrets of the Isles” series and the second book I have read by this author. The main characters in this novel are Beth Tremayne and Lord Sheridan. Beth does not like Lord Sheridan in the beginning which makes for some very interesting interactions. How all the characters are connected also makes the story that much more intriguing. For example, Libby was supposed to get engaged to Lord Sheridan because her brother was trying to arrange it. Between those two things and the hunt for treasure, you will not be able to put this book down. A lot of times historical fiction will read slow for me but not so in this case. I felt like this book read quickly. If you love a good adventure novel with some romance thrown in, then this is the book for you.

Review of “Royally Engaged” by Jill Boyce

This is the second book in the Royal Medicine Series which is the second series by Jill Boyce.  This is one of those series that need to be read in order because otherwise you miss out on a lot.  In this novel, Claire is engaged to be married and working toward taking over the crown from her paternal grandmother.  Even though Claire, the main character, is royalty in this series, she is still very relatable.  Like most people, she worries about many things including whether she will be enough.  I also very much enjoy her maternal grandmother because she is on the odd side and does not care what other people think of her.  She makes this book humorous in all the right ways.

Review of “Life Flight” by Lynette Eason

I am a big fan of books by Lynette Eason and this is the first in a new series called Extreme Measures. It is a romantic suspense novel and it is definitely on suspense overload. Just when you think the criminal in this book cannot get anymore odd, something happens to let you know he is even more messed up than you think. This may not be the best book to read at night if you live alone. It will definitely have you double checking to be sure you locked your doors and set your house alarm. If you enjoy reading murder mysteries, then this book should definitely be on your to be read list. This is one of those novels that has you wondering how the author came up with the plot.
