Review of “Loving the Rancher’s Children” by Mindy Obenhaus

I am a big fan of book by Mindy Obenhaus. This is the third book in the Hope Crossing series. All of the characters in this book make me want to live in Hope Crossing. This town seems like one of those places where anyone is one big family. I really enjoy reading how Alli relates to the two kids of her childhood best friend. You can tell she has a gift with kids. The author did a good job with the way she brought Alli and Jake back together. I absolutely loved getting to witness their slow friend to more romance develop. I would definitely recommend this book.

Review of “Windswept Way” by Irene Hannon

Windswept Way by Irene Hannon is an intriguing book. The main characters Ashley, Rose, and Jon each have their own stories. The reader will enjoy seeing how their stories come together. From page one, Ashley seems to have all of the bases covered when it comes to forming a partnership with Rose; however, from the start the reader is left with many questions about how this partnership will play out. Jon and Ashley have to figure out the best way to work together for the good of the partnership. The secondary characters are interesting as well and are guilty of trying to bring everything and everybody together. Set in Oregon, the setting is absolutely breathtaking! It makes you want to visit the plantation Edgecliff and just sit back and relax. This is a well written story and one the reader will have a hard time putting down.

Review of “Royally Blessed” by Jill Boyce

This is the fourth book in the Royal Medicine series. To get the most enjoyment out of this book, you will want to read the books in order. In this novel, Claire and Ethan are officially married. She is also pregnant. As the Queen of Amorely and a doctor, she has a lot on her plate that makes her pregnancy harder. Thankfully, her husband and maternal grandmother are there to support her in all that is going on. This novel is a well written light read. Claire’s granny and her dog, Wilson, bring some great comedy to this story. I am so glad that her granny is still in this series especially since Albert the butler is no longer in the series. He was replaced by Nigel who is almost as good but just could not replace Albert. I highly recommend this book. It would make a great relaxing read.

Review of “After the Shadows” by Amanda Cabot

Historical fiction is not my top genre of Christian Fiction to read; however, when I do read this genre, Amanda Cabot is one of my go to authors. Her books do not read as slow as some historical fiction novels I have read by other authors. Although this book is listed as historical, it also has a mysterious element to it that really grabbed my attention. It is the first book in the Secrets of Sweetwater Crossing. One of the things I liked about this book is all the lessons that can be taken from it. You learn not to judge someone by someone else’s actions. There is a lesson of loving your neighbor. I found a lesson of forgiveness as well. And one of the best lessons is accepting others that are different than you. Also, you find a few examples of second chances. There are so many things to love about this book.

Review of “Texas Ranch Target” by Virginia Vaughan

I really enjoy books by Virginia Vaughan. This is the second book in the Cowboy Protectors series. The action and suspense of this novel starts from the beginning and does not end to almost the very end. The story involves the main female character, Jaycee, losing her memories and not knowing why she was seeking out Brett, the main male character. I loved reading about their interactions throughout the entire plot. They worked well together but still had obstacles to overcome that were mainly issues created by her memory loss. This book also included two of Brett’s cousins. They were great secondary characters. Overall, I think this was a well written mystery that I only figured out a small sliver of before the truth was revealed. I would highly recommend this novel.
